Whif (Whif AI) ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
Information We Collect
Account & Authentication Data
- Registration Details: Email address, password, and basic profile information when you create an account.
- Single Sign-On Information: Tokens or identifiers returned by third-party sign-in providers associated with your device or existing accounts.
- Purchase & Subscription Data: Receipts, entitlement identifiers, and status information required to manage billing through app stores.
Profile & Context Data
- Onboarding Responses: Age range (13+ categories only), gender, tone preferences, interests, goals, and any custom text you supply.
- Scenario History: Saved cards, likes, context profiles, notes, and personalization settings you choose to maintain.
Scenario & AI Inputs
- Prompts & Feedback: Questions, supplemental details, and comments submitted to generate scenarios.
- Metadata: Request timestamps, language, streaming flags, and token usage captured to improve accuracy and safety.
Device, Usage & Diagnostics
- Device Information: Hardware model, operating system version, timezone, language, and unique device identifiers.
- App Interactions: Feature usage patterns, push-notification status, session states, and settings changes.
- Logs & Crash Reports: Performance metrics and error diagnostics recorded for troubleshooting.
Location Information
- Precise Location: GPS data when you grant permission in the app.
- Approximate Location: City or region inferred from manual entry, IP address, or similar signals.
- Venue Searches: Queries routed through mapping and location partners to surface nearby suggestions.
Communications & Support
- Support Requests: Emails, in-app feedback, help-desk tickets, attachments, and timestamps.
- Survey Participation: Optional responses if you choose to participate in product research.
How We Use Information
Provide & Secure the Service
- Authenticate users, maintain accounts, and sync personalization context across sessions.
- Generate AI-powered scenarios and recommendations using the inputs and settings you choose to share.
- Deliver notifications, service announcements, and transactional messages when you opt in.
- Detect abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the integrity of the Service.
Personalize & Improve
- Tailor tone, content, and recommendations to your preferences.
- Analyze aggregated usage to refine prompts, improve performance, and develop new features.
- Conduct research, experiments, and quality assurance with de-identified or aggregated information.
Billing & Administration
- Validate purchases, manage subscriptions, and handle billing inquiries through trusted payment facilitators.
- Communicate with you about account status, premium features, or policy updates.
Sharing & Disclosure
We limit disclosure of personal data to the following situations and require recipients to protect it:
- Service Providers: Trusted vendors that host infrastructure, handle authentication, process payments, deliver notifications, power AI responses, provide analytics, or support customer service. They access only the data needed to perform their duties on our behalf.
- Platform & Store Operators: When necessary to process in-app purchases, restore entitlements, or comply with platform terms.
- Legal & Safety: When required by law, to enforce our terms, investigate fraud or misuse, or protect the rights, safety, or property of Whif AI, our users, or others.
- Business Events: In connection with mergers, acquisitions, financings, or transfers of assets, subject to confidentiality commitments.
- With Your Consent: When you direct us to share information or export data to another service.
We do not sell personal data or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data Security
We rely on industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport and storage provided by our hosting partners, access controls, regular reviews, and log monitoring. Please report suspected vulnerabilities as part of our white hat bounty program to privacy@whif.ai.
Your Choices & Rights
- Privacy Controls: Manage data-sharing, analytics, and personalization settings within the app. We are continuing to expand backend enforcement so these preferences apply across the Service.
- Context Reset: Use “Clear personalization context” to remove saved answers and rebuild from scratch.
- AI Personalization: Disable personalization (where available) to stop sharing context with our AI provider until you opt back in.
- Location & Notifications: Adjust device-level permissions at any time or provide locations manually.
- Data Requests: Email privacy@whif.ai or use in-app tools to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or to object to processing. We verify identity before fulfilling requests.
Data Retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer required, subject to legal, security, or compliance obligations (for example, transaction records or fraud-prevention logs). Aggregated analytics may be kept longer.
International Transfers
We and our partners operate in multiple countries. When data leaves your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards and apply this Policy regardless of location.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The Service may link to third-party sites or features. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies; review them before sharing information.
Changes to This Policy
